EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

  • All farm products exhibits are to be entered Tuesday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. -9:00 p.m. MAKE YOUR ENTRIES EARLY!
  • All farm products exhibits will be judged on Wednesday morning.
  • All exhibits unclaimed by 12:00 noon on the Monday ending the fair will not be the responsibility of the Fair Association.
  • It is best to bring products personally to the fair superintendents who will be glad to arrange the products in the most attractive way possible.
  • Exhibits not delivered personally should be carefully labeled to show the name and address of the exhibitor and label your product with the variety name.
  • Exhibitors should choose one class to exhibit each of their farm products. For example, miniature watermelons should be classed in either Class K (Vine Vegetables), Class N ( Most Unusual), or Class O (Speciality Fruits and Vegetables). If a classification is not stated, the fair superintendent will place the product in the most appropriate class.
  • The County Fair will furnish plates or trays for exhibits but not other containers. The number of specimens for each plate display is specified in the premium list. Wrap fruits or vegetables separately and pack firmly in a box to avoid bruising. Label each variety plainly and place dividers to keep varieties separated.

Quality not Quantity

In selecting farm products for exhibit, choose only those specimens that are UNIFORMLY good quality, form and color, true to type, and free from all insect and disease blemishes, and free from cuts and bruises. Ribbon premiums will be awarded mainly on the basis of quality. Do not knock or shake fruit from the tree, but pick each specimen by hand, taking care not to pull out the stem. Products should be exhibited as nearly as possible in their natural state.

Awards and Judging

No premiums will be awarded if, in opinion of judges, an exhibit is misrepresented or unworthy in quality.
